Technology Based Assessment (TBA)
One of the core concerns of empirical educational research is the theoretical modelling of competencies in diverse areas, as well as their empirical assessment. Up to now, these data were generally assessed by pen-and-paper designs. Computer-based test procedures allow for more efficient assessment and measurement procedures, which are applied in
competence diagnostics and other areas.
The project Technology Based Assessment (TBA) at the German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF) sets up a research and service structure for technology-based assessment and puts it to a practical test.
